My lbs does not, nor do they plan on stocking this bike so I have not even been able to sit,ride or even look at this bike up close. I am 5'9" and your bike is a medium. Would this be the size I would need?

Pocatello looks alot like central Oregon. Sage brush and juniper trees. I lived in Sandpoint Idaho for about 8 years and did alot of xc riding up at schweitzer mountain. I do miss the greenery up there but the winters in Bend are much better. Year around riding.

Yes on the shuttle & I don't think the geo would be affected that much, but it would a little. Because of the height of the stem-handle bar setup.
